Letting your child be the hero

What a story with your child's name can do that a favorite picture book can't — and what it can't.

Children have always loved hearing about themselves. "Tell me about when I was a baby" is one of the oldest bedtime requests there is.

Being the one who is brave

When a child hears their own name in a story, they get to try out being brave, kind or curious in a safe, imagined world. A story about a shy child who finds their voice can feel very different when the shy child shares your child's name.

Their details, their story

Mentioning a favorite dinosaur, a new sibling or a fort they built today makes the story feel made for them — because it was.

Not a replacement for books

Personalized stories work best alongside classic picture books, not instead of them. Great children's books bring beautiful art, rich language and characters who are nothing like your child. Both matter.
